Japanese Update History Global version is expected to follow a similar, but different schedule than the Japanese version. Dark Visions rewards are given within two weeks after it ends.Raid rewards are given within a week after it ends.
Weekly arena rewards are given 2 days after it ends. 5+1 Ticket/10+1 Ticket/5★ Summon Ticket. Occasionally given from random campaign. Some feature might be skipped or replaced, like friend level or Chocobo expedition. No clear pattern, but they are usually on time or early compared to JP. Reruns approximately every 1-2 months (not tracked on schedule below). Initial release tied with the release and awakening of new Neo Vision units. Some are adjusted, and their cryst changed. Does not follow JP order, nor does it have the same awakening. Might happen twice per month if it's special awakening tied to an event. However, in season 2, JP missed a couple months of story, allowing GL to catch up. During season 1, GL is late by 1 month due to Zoldaad story being split into 3 instead of 2 in JP. These events combine some elements from other event types and may contain unique gameplay mechanics. Observed events: Lunar New Year, Valentine, Easter, Autumn Moon, Halloween, Christmas. They are sometimes called Wave Battle or Elemental Battle event. All seasonal and holiday events are GL exclusive. Permanently added equipments usually follow order as released in JP. There may be an unique rare ability for event weapons from concurrently running events or ones after the previous enhancement event. Many events are either modified, came very early/late, or don't come to GL at all. In JP, raid event are often associated with collaboration, which is why raid event are the most unstable and unpredictable event in the schedule. Always contain either a exploration or challenge event. Event order is usually swapped around between 1-2 months compared to JP, but largely remains the same. Afterglow and Fun With Physalis were released after two months since the last story event, instead of the usual one per month release schedule. The Day the Spark was Lit (featuring Crimson) and Out for Vengeance (featuring Akstar) were swapped. August 2017 has two story events, but corrected immediately by having no story event on the following month. The most stable content update by far, with only some exceptions (examples below):. Once per month, usually early-mid month. Event schedule below don't take into account rerun events, only new ones. Event and summon are largely tied together, with some exception. (Previously on Friday prior to Oct 17, 2019) Other videos like guide or battle demonstration have no clear pattern. Once per month, usually on Monday of early-mid month, before any hyped event or feature. Smaller news like issues or new video update can be posted anytime.
